International tournament 'Negroponte 2010' is being held in Halkidiki, Greece with the participation of three georgian chess players:2010 Georgian champion Salome Melia, 2008 Olympic champion Sopiko Khukhashvili and international grand master Inga Charkhalashvili.

After 4 rounds many times Georgian champion Inga Charkhalashvili is playing successfully, in the fourth round she defeated Russian grand master Yakovich Yuri and she is distributing fourth place with 3.5 pints.

Tournament will be held by Swiss system nine rounds and will last untill the 17th of August. Prize fund is 35 000 Euros, the winner will receive 3 500 and the best one in women 300.

Atalik Suat(Turkey), Andriasian Zaven(Armenia), Hess Robert L(America) and Mastrovasilis Athanasios(Greece) are ledaers of the tournament with maximum points. Charkhlashvili has 0.5 point less. Melia and Khukhashvili have 3 points.

In the fifth round Charkhalashvili will play against Indian grand master Gupta, Khismatullin(Russia) – Melia and khukhashvili -  Zablotsky(Russia).
