Started with win!
In the first round of Women’s Grand Prix Nana Dzagnidze (2550) gained a victory over her direct competitor Indian Koneru Humpy (2607). In the second round Nana will play against Munguntuul Batkhuyag (Mongolia; 2410).
Another Georgian participant Maia Chiburdanidze was beaten by Munguntuul.

In Doha started…
The 6th Women’s Fide Grand Prix has started in Qatar capital Doha. Two Georgian chess players Dzagnidze Nana and Chiburdanidze Maia are participating in. However only Dzagnidze has a chance on championship.

'9th Khazar International Cup Open Chess 2011' ended with the success of Georgian chess players.

European Championship in Tbilisi!
European Women's Individual Championship will be held in Tbilisi!
The decision was made today at congress by the members of Euroepan Chess Union.
7 members of the board voted for Tbilisi, one of them avoided to answer and another voted for Gaziantep, Turkey.
